Sign up now for hunter and bowhunter education courses in Salmon

Get certified in both hunter and bowhunter education by attending the instructor-led combination hunter/bowhunter education course scheduled for August 11th - 14th (Tuesday-Friday), from 12:00 - 5:00 p.m at the Salmon IDFG Office.

Only want hunter education?  Sign up for the instructor-led hunter education course scheduled for September 8th - 10th from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. (Tuesday-Thursday), and the 12th (Saturday) from 9:00 - 1:00 p.m. at the Salmon IDFG Office. 

Courses cost $9.75 and will provide valuable, hands-on training and interaction.  Students must be at least 9 years old to take a hunter education course.  Space is limited and advanced registration is required by registering online or by visiting the Fish and Game office.  Click here to register online or click here for self-paced online courses.  

Anyone born on or after January 1, 1975, must complete a hunter education course to purchase an Idaho hunting license.  Bowhunter education is required for anyone wanting to hunt archery-only hunts.  The exception is if the hunter or archer can show that they have previously held a hunting license, hunter education certificate, or archery certificate from another state.
